The name “COPAN Systems” was inspired by the largest known archeological site in Honduras during the Mayan era. COPAN Systems derived our company name from the Copan site because of the massive quantity of artifacts found in pristine condition – hundreds of years after they were stored away – that yielded massive amounts of information about this ancient civilization. We feel this name accurately reflects our mission of giving companies the assurance that their data will be preserved in perfect condition for many years into the future.
